I have some old and horribly painted miniatures from my youth, and want to get rid of them. I remember that there used to be some companies that would trade old lead for new figs. Is anyone still doing that? These are mostly old Grenadier or Ral Partha figs, and none of them are any of the rarer and more in demand figs, so they don't have much value on their own. |

I really can't see any companies still doing that with the possible mess it might create in the melting pot with paint and all. Put them in the trade section with a list of what you want and I bet someone will snatch them up. |

If you take some photos of them
email me a couple. Take it easy. Sean maninthemoon65@yahoo.com |

warbeads@yahoo.com Even a list would help if you don't have pictures. Gracias, Glenn |

I gave box loads to a club for their juniors to try out on. |

The paint can usually be easily removed as well, allowing you to start over. |

You should cherish them. Place them in a place of prominence at your painting table. They will remind you that your skills have (we can hope so) improved over the years. |

I throw in a big box and sell them for 25-50 cents a piece at convention Flea Markets |

If you game in a group, give them to some one who is new to the hobby. This way they stay in the group, and the new guy learns how to paint. Make sure you tell him that he will be required to run a game with them. Brent |

I guess I will see if I can find someone that I can give them to to get them started in the game. If not, then I will offer them as a trade here. |

Personally, I collect these old and horribly maligned miniatures and give them new homes. There are many others like me out there. |

Like he said, "strip 'em": I use straight ammonia, and as long as you want to let them sit in the "soup" they're good for it. When you're ready to repaint them, dump the ammonia and rinse under running water (don't, at any time, breath that !). |
