Can anyone tell me about the British 64th Anti-tank rgt. (The Queen's Own Royal Glasgow Yeomanry), part of 78th Div., in Tunisia? I would like to know equipment: number and type of at guns and what prime movers they used. If you don't know, are interested too, and live in the UK, you can find a copy of The Queen's Own Royal Glasgow Yeomanry by Thomas Galloway at Glasgow University Library or Cambridge University. ;-) Thanks. |

Don't have the specific answer offhand but they'd have had 6 pounders & probably some 17 pounders (the earlier version on the 25 pounder carriage) in Tunisia. |

They were just a standard Royal Artillery AT regiment, as Huw says, almost certainly had 6pdrs when they went to Tunisia. They may have had some 25/17pdrs but I'm not sure how they were allocated to individual divisions when they were sent out. |
