This is a photo story of the prize-winning Japanese vs. NL wargame, Battle of TARAKAN Island in 1942, put on by: Dortmund Amateur Wargamers and photographed with their kind permission by myself and Joe here: link The Gaming Tables/WW2 I thought this was a great display game, which brought to mind the sultry heat and lush vegetation of Borneo and the Dutch East Indies. This is about the 1942 Japanese invasion of this Dutch outpost which saw bravery, confusion and tragedy in equal measure. The game won Best of Show at Crisis. What do you think?
