If anyone can help, I'm after suggestions for good 28mm minis to convert to Ood and Judoon for Doctor Who. I'm not really interested in the Micro Universe plastics. I know that Hasslefree do a rhino head that would work for the Judoon, but on what body? And for the Ood, I'm wondering what alien head might work with the addition of a few facial tentacles. The body could be a generic unarmed human, ideal in shirt/trousers or jumpsuit.

Thanks for any pointers.

Given the similarity in designs, how about using some Sontarans from Black Tree Designs with Hasslefree rhino heads? Just snip off the helmet dome and add the rhino head. You could also add some green-stuff for the kilt-like things the judoon had.

Not sure about Ood, sorry.

For the Ood: How about the D&D Mind Flayer?

Sorry, I have no links, but the figure must exist.

Depending on how many of each figure you want, how about the actual ones from the micro-universe prepaint range? OK, they are in "collectable" pig-in-a-poke packs, but I'm sure some enterprising soul on the net must be selling them as singles?

I was thinking those musician guys from Star Wars, glue some fishing wire for the feeders on the mouth area

Ood and Mind Flayers are very similar- Reaper do a couple of MFs, but the hold staves- you can bid on Ebay for 'unarmed; ones (Ral Partha, and some GW ones I think) but these are quite rare.
