Snowcat reports: For the last 3-4 days I haven't been able to access TMP.Every attempt at a connection times out. This is the only site I'm having problems with. UK and US based viewers don't appear to be experiencing these issues. Is this just a problem with Australia at the moment? Cheers Anyone else from down under having this problem? |

No, I've been fine. But don't expect too many replies from those who are having that problem! |

Nope, don't have a problem. Only problem with TMP is that the Boards are often down for maintenance when I want to use them. I suspect it is the time difference. G^is, JohnG |

I'm the one who started this. I'm on a different computer now down the road, and everything's fine. No doubt when I get home I won't be able to get TMP again, as there's clearly a glitch on my PC. Interestingly this happened at about the same time I installed the latest version of Firefox. Not the first time that has been a perilous exercise
Thanks guys. |

"Only problem with TMP is that the Boards are often down for maintenance when I want to use them." Its all part of Bill's evil plan for world domination. He knows the Aussies are all agents of goodness and niceness so he blocks us out while he and his arch evil cohorts exchange messages of dominance and overthrowing world governments. Then again
it may be because you just keep tuning in at the wrong time! |

"Time Outs for Australians" I thought the Australians had something bad as a whole country & were being sent to the corner until they were sorry for what they did. |

I thought the Australians had something bad as a whole country & were being sent to the corner until they were sorry for what they did. Hold on a second. I'll find a response

I'm baaaaaaaaaaack. Last night I sought some advice from computing.net on this matter. One person advised me to try setting TMP as a trusted site in IE. Another mentioned it could be a Microsoft update that caused the problem. Anyway
I just tried the set as a trusted site option in IE, and it worked! Now works fine in Firefox too! But here's an interesting thing: just as I had opened IE and clicked on Tools, a window popped up on the screen from Spybot Search & Destroy telling me that an important registry entry affecting the user toolbar had been changed – allow or deny? Sounded intriguing so I told Spybot S&D to 'remember' it and clicked 'allow'. Then I continued setting theminiaturespage as a trusted site in IE. So who knows? Maybe it was the registry change that did the trick before I even finished setting up the trusted site business. ??? |

I've just been informed that my sense of time must have been out, as the Spybot message occurred *as a result of* the change I was making in IE, which affected the registry, hence the warning/message. :) |
