I just finished painting HLBS Co.'s askaris for the African theater and am now looking for complimentary figures as these are no longer in production. I don't really want to start from scratch with another line. Does anyone have any suggestions for another line which would fit? |

You can probably use both Brigade Games and Battle Honours (BH)with your HLBS figures. I've the former, but I'm sure the latter would be okay too. I do have BH but not the askaris. Helen |

Foundry has some that would probably work pretty well. |

Skeets, do you need any more German Askaris from HBLS? I have a painted unit of 16 (or 18, can't recall offhand) plus German NCO that I was going to put up soon at the local miniatures shop on consignment. I can send pics if you're interested. I also have quite a few unpainted ones, IIRC. Mark |

Ask HLBS and they be able to cast up some for you – IIRC someone did this quite recently. |

I have used all of the suggestions above. The do fit well but a word of warning HLBS figures are smaller and thinner but do look okay with the others. |

I second the idea of Brigade games askaris. They are very nice figures, too. Maybe they are not quite similar with the exHLBS minis, but not far away so, they should fit. |
