Would their tunics/trousers be the same shade of Feldgrau as the ordinary infantry? There are some good sites with real tunics on the web but i can't find any with a reference to a Jaeger uniform?
Many thanks.

In the colour plates in my Mollo book, both the jacket and trousers of the Jäger shown are distinctly greener than anything you see an ordinary infantryman wearing.

But it's just an artist's rendering. I don't have any actual examples of real uniforms to back it up.

IIRC the whole lot was in the Jaeger green colour.

Try this (all paints Vallejo):
Tunic: basecoat olive green, mid tone field grey, highlight field grey plus a little white (or no highlight if you choose)
Trousers: base coat German Grey, mid tone grey-green, highlight grey-green with a touch of white.
