I have a collection of Peter Pig VC and would like to base them for use with Cold War Commander. Is there a handy FoW-style org chart on the web like something from Flashpoint's Viet Nam's game? Or is there some common knowledge I can use? For example, I have about 30 guys with AK's and 40 guys with rifles. Should I base them separately? Or where units all mixed together and there's little difference between the two (like Rifle/MG teams vs. Rifle or MG teams in FoW)? 4 or 5 figs per base?

Thanks for any help!

In Cold War commander they would not be based separately based on weapons. So I'd mix them on the same base. The Vietgaming Yahoo group has some handy TO&Es

I agree, I'd mixed them unless the ruleset says otherwise…

I base my 28mm and 20mm miniatures separately for Vietnam battles. Although, I use Disposable Heroes and Long Road South as my rules. But it seems like separate bases might be easier to move into jungles, spider holes, and tiny hootches/ villages. I have seen the smaller 15mm based that way too for Vietnam. Your call, obviously 8^D

Depends what your force consists of. If your making VC Main Force I would keep all the AK47's together. VC Local Force is anything goes.

To reiterate if you are using the Cold War Commander rules basing doesn't matter. A unit is an infantry platoon or in company scale, squad. So if you base them separately, fine, if you base them 2, 4 or 20 to a base fine, the stat's are still the same. As for combining, AK's and rifles in VC units, sure it happened as they were guerrilla units and used what ever was at hand. Again there are NO separate stats for assault rifles or rifles in CWC.
