Several questions here. Anyone know what type of Ballista the Old Glory Roman 25mm is? Are they the larger weapons or the smaller type (Scorpio)? I'd like to use a battery of Scorpios as a support option for my army (based on Caeser's war in Gaul). On a similar note how well do the Old Glory 25mm Romans match up to the new plastics from Wargames Factory (I'm using them to kit out my line troops). Thanks! |

One could look? link The crew figures won't be a great match, style-wise, for the WF legionaries, but could probably benefit by some head swaps. Allen |

I have just finished painting that OG Ballisata and crew this week. I also have the the wargames factory figures. I can take a pic and you can see them. I think they match just fine. The Ballisata figures are a bit chunkier I would say. But they are not going to be in the rank and file with the other figures. I would not bother with a head swap, I think they are fine as is. |

That's not quite fair, Allen. You being you, you have access to hidden knowledge, like where the secret Old Glory pictures are hidden on the Web. Not all of us are as advanced in such arcane knowledge. |

Sorry, I was looking at the OldGlory25s site, they did not have a pic of the figures. Those are just what I'm looking for, they might look o.k. next to the plastic stuff. WarWizard that would be great if you could post a pic, Thanks. |

"Not all of us are as advanced in such arcane knowledge." Riiiight. Such as that stored in the TMP Manufacturers Directory: TMP link The Old Glories (collectively) don't seem to want to change it, so it must be right. That must be the URL that Old Glory, right there in Cal-u-met, P.A., wants people to use to order from them. So I don't think it's awfully hidden or arcane: it's there for all to see, in accordance with the will of Old Glory. If the Old Glory Corporation wanted to acknowledge that another site officially represents them, then surely they would have Bill change this, would they not? And if they wanted to have another more-or-less fully illustrated site in order to sell their wares, then surely they would make it so. I order from Teresa, and just got in a package from Cal-u-met today, as a matter of fact. But I dislike confusion. This stuff just confuses the customers. Allen |

I have the photos posted here link All figures based on 20mm gale force 9 magnetic bases. Only 1 is flocked so far. The Ballista is more of a smaller Scropio or light bolt thrower I would say. All figures are 25mm. The figure with blue shield is from Old Glory Sparatucs range. Other 2 Old Glory figures come in the Balltisa set. Gladiator is from Crusader. Roman with red shield is from Wagames Factory plastic box set. As you can set they all fit well together. |

Thanks WarWizard that was very helpfull. You just sold me on picking up the Old Glory stuff to fill out the rest of my army. You should ask them for a commission! ;) |

You welcome. I am using some of the Old Glory and wargames Factory Romans in my WAB Spartacus army as Roman Army Deserters. So glad to help. |

Black Tree to a nice little Scorpion, but the crews are pants. I threw them away and converted Foundry crewmen:- link Irregular do a nice little scorpion, cheap as chips at £1, in their siege equipment range (25/38) but it is a later model better suited to EIRs. I'll do a bunch of these at some stage, too. Simon |
