Hey all, may I share a battlereport made by me and my friend. It's easy to follow with great maps and pictures, supported with a well written text. Enjoy it here :) link |

Excellent report. I like how you can see the whole field of battle. |

How do you create those "neat" red directional arrows and stuff? |

That has got to be the best represented battle report I've ever seen. Professional magazine level and then some. |

A cool report! I also applaud the battlefield level aerial photography. Was that photoshopped with the units layered over the tabletop background or was the aerial recce live! @ WarWizard – I use PowerPoint. Insert the battlefield as an image – add arrow head autoshapes and then save as a JPG. I've only ever used blockshapes to represent my units on a bitmap field of battle though |

I've just looked at the 40K reports here TMP link and I have to applaud again. I can see that the units in those reports do appear to be layered onto the image. That's a lot of work but for an excellent result. |

wow, thanx for the great response! To answer the questions, yes all unites are layered onto the background. In short I take a picture of the empty battlefield, and all the model types, edit them in Photoshop and then I import them to Illustrator were I move the "models" around the canvas. I use Illustrator tools for drawing movement arrows and such. Skull marks for showing death of models is on a layer as well and is placed on top of the model just slain. Layers though is probably not the right word, Illustrator calls them Objects. Siggi |

Very nice battle report. How do you manage to get the birds eye pictures of the gaming table. |
