More boards: yippee!!! Hey, while we're at it: how about a Proper Capitalization Board, a Correct Spelling board, and a Why We Use Punctuation board? Allen |

"about stuff that you would other wise need to cross post" What is wrong with the general board? "Wargaming" and "Other stuff" is all we need

I hate to disappoint my adoring fans My parrot pooped on my shoulder. Grape Ape, I think you may have missed it as you're relatively new here , but many of us are just bone weary of new board suggestions and feel that TMP has far, far too many boards. And there are others don't feel that way of course. -- Tim |

" General board? If you stick posts on the obscure boards then the minute they drop off the front page, those threads are largely dead. I don't know why we have any specific boards at all really, just make the front page a bit bigger. The only boards I ever visit (apart from the front page) are 'Game Design', 'WW2 Discussion', 'Early 20th Century Discussion', 'Modern' and sometimes '19th Century Discussion' and 'Ancients'. I only do this if: a) I am a bit bored, as those boards sometimes have old threads with a flicker of life in them b) the links to those boards are up on the front page I certainly can't be bothered to go clicking away looking for them. Isn't there some rule of web design about this? If it isn't two clicks away people don't visit?? "Wargaming" and "Other stuff", repeat after me
