I just got my copy of AOH from On Military Matters. A very nicely done book, with 2 campaigns and 23 scenarios! Some of the scenarios are really just campaign games, that are not all that balanced, but designed to make fulfill very specific objectives. Ones such scenario is 4 feeble Re.2000s taking on a formation of B-24s (good luck with that). Nice mix of bomber busting games vs Americans and close support missions and defensive battles vs the Russians. |

I had the pleasure of playing several of the scenarios at Fall In with the author, Chris Pringle. Not only were the games terrific, but he is a really great fellow. Here's hoping for huge sales! |

I played a couple of the scenarios and enjoyed them. The variety of aircraft was great. One player found out the hard way that IL-2 has some serious teeth to the front. Tough shot, but WOW what damage when you hit! I really like the campaign system set up, like the Guadalcanal book. Great book and recommended to any air combat gamer, regardless of what rules you use. |

I played several of the scenarios when I was last in the UK. I know Chris, so I may be biased, but I liked the scenarios where I had to try to knock down bombers with a pea-shooter. It is a real challenge, and if you manage it there is a genuine sense of achievement. Plus, in the context of a campaign, those types of scenarios are often very tense. I have a copy of the scenarios in the mail, I hope, and I look forward to getting all the planes for them. Luckily, it's relatively cheap in 1/600. By the way, Nazrat and Oddball, which scenarios did you play at Fall In? Just to let you know who I was, I brought the St Humbertus, and the Slivenska Perla for general refreshment and enjoyment. |

Yes, Hi, I have now looked at your pic. It all makes sense. |

Excellent, got the scenario booklet yesterday. Lots of pics and info. Some terrific scenarios too: I'll have to get more planes. Tumbling Dice and Dom's Decals have done very well out of me recently. :-) I got the Guadalcanal book too. The campaign looks great, and I hope to get going with it, quite soon. |

I understand that the Guadalcanal scenarios are linked and have options that effect set up etc. Advertising blurb 'paragraph something or other'. Are the other scenario books similar? |
