Thought you might like to see some pictures from the Crisis show this weekend in Antwerp, Belgium, put on by the Tin Soldiers club. link and others from Joe on this list: link It's a great show: it's not far from both Brussels huge and fantastic Military Museum and of course, the Waterloo battlefield and most everyone speaks English with lots of British there so I'd reccommend it to travellers. And it's got to be one of the friendliest shows anywhere: there's plenty of people to go drinking with afterwards! These pictures are the ones by our Joe – I'll be putting mine up soon but I'm still into my second day of downloading them all. Soon there'll be pictures from individual clubs which I promised to put up for them too. It ended up being a great weekend. Met a lot of wargamers like the Battlegroup South team and others from all round Europe, from France, Germany, Belgium and Britian mainly. Crisis puts great emphasis, in it's prizes, on games which the public can join in, and this leads to particular types of senarios and the very friendly nature of the show. If you want some more, there's another full set from Crisis at: link |

Terrific! Are these a fair representation of the games put on? No OD green blankets with paper rivers and roads? The 'Lace War' table. Was that put on by a specific group or is the group know as Lace Wars. Thanks Rich |

There was no club with that name, so it must be the name of the game. Don't know which though |

Glad you like them, fellers Rich Knapton ''Terrific! Are these a fair representation of the games put on? No OD green blankets with paper rivers and roads?'' I reckon you've got all the tables there. The main difference I could see, was that some were very big games and others were not so big, but all had impressive miniatures. I liked Battlegroup South's Sea Convoy game perhaps 'cos of the nice contrast to the others: it was simple but carefuly thought out and effective. Rich Knapton ''The 'Lace War' table. Was that put on by a specific group or is the group know as Lace Wars'' Can you tell me which number photo? I'll take a look. aegiscg47 ''The renaissance and medieval games looked great! Thanks for sharing.'' No prob. The Renaissance one you can see in more detail here: link link |

The only game I noticed which was during the lace wars was Faux Aigeraux by the Tin soldaten from Aalborg Denmark. Maybe it was them? They attacked this huge farmhouse/castle and had a moat around the building. Had a better look and those were the Red Barons from Ghent that did this Lace Wars. Name of the game is unknown to me. |

I should mention Alde Garde who are two gamers from Holland – the pictures numbered 56-80 are actually from their well painted 14th century knights game from the Low Countries. |
