Hello Everyone,

I found two links to PDFs of old
Ral Partha and Grenadier catalogs.
I wanted to share them with everyone.
Thanks Ernst from
Sean from California

Hi, you can download a grenadier catalog pack at link

And a ral partha at link

Thanks Ernst!

Those will help me identify the Grenadier and RP's that are lying around. They might even have the dragons I need to send you pictures of.

Thank you very much, Ernst. I have been after several of these for a long long time.

runs with scissors07 Nov 2008 2:19 p.m. PST

Superb stuff, thanks for sharing. I wonder how they got onto a Vedic Astrology website?

runs with scissors07 Nov 2008 2:52 p.m. PST

Having had a look through some of this material, I think I was too understated in my last post. Some of this stuff is absolute gold dust.

maninthemoon07 Nov 2008 2:53 p.m. PST

I just checked out the Grenadier Models catalog PDFs.

Wow!!! They brought back some memories.

Much of those Ral Partha and Grenadier Models miniatures from the late 1970s to late 1980s were done really well.

It would be great if someone started a website Archive of miniature catalogs from all the big and small companies in a PDF form that collectors and painters could download.

It would really help in collecting and furthering our hobby.
Have a good weekend everyone,
Sean from California

I might be tempted to take Google's position to fair use and share some of my old catalogs. I would be very keen on filling in my collection with pdf's.

Zephyr107 Nov 2008 4:03 p.m. PST

About how many MB are those files? (Inquiring dial-up users want to know…. ;)

Garand07 Nov 2008 4:08 p.m. PST

Actually it would be nice if those figures would come back out into production. Some of the RP and Grenadier are back…but not all.

Damon.

noraneko07 Nov 2008 5:52 p.m. PST

Nice. Thanks for this.

Also, don't forget to check out Terence Gunn's The Fantastic Worlds Of Grenadier. Wonderful book.

maninthemoon07 Nov 2008 8:03 p.m. PST

Hello nycjadie,

Let me know if you ever get any of your miniature catalogs scanned into PDF's. I would be interested in a copy of each.

It would be a great way to reference miniatures.
To create a database of miniature catalogs in PDF form for collectors.

What a great idea!!!

The Grenadier, zipped, catalog is 21 meg and the Ral Partha is 120 meg

maninthemoon07 Nov 2008 9:03 p.m. PST

Yes,
You might want to get ahold of someone with a high speed connection if you want to download these PDF's. From there, you could transfer them to a CD.
Have a good night.

That's Ernst's site. I got a bunch of the really old figures so this will help me catalog the ones I need to move – after I pick out a bunch for a fellow TMPer who asked after them.

IronMike08 Nov 2008 1:06 p.m. PST

They're not working for me. I am sad now :(

Neotacha08 Nov 2008 1:15 p.m. PST

They don't work for me, either, IronMike. I keep getting a page load error.

maninthemoon08 Nov 2008 6:25 p.m. PST

Hello IronMike and Neotacha,
I tried the links again here in California, and they work for me.

nycjadie09 Nov 2008 1:02 a.m. PST

I am notoriously slow about things like this, but I'll see what I can do. I actually found a stash of catalogs last night while cleaning up. It will likely be weeks before I get to this.
Best,
Steve

P.S. – All of the catalog downloaded for me.

maninthemoon09 Nov 2008 1:37 p.m. PST

Whenever Steve,

I will be around.
Thanks, Sean in California

A couple of Grenadier catalogs (1982 and 1988), and some old Reaper Dungeon Dwellers catalog pages, can be found here:

It looks like it has some good stuff on it.

Hrm, even for my DSL connection, that's a slow download, but it's working.

zerozero15 Nov 2008 7:27 p.m. PST

Thanks, They came in handy. Allowed me to finally id some of the mis in my collection.

maninthemoon15 Nov 2008 10:31 p.m. PST

Yep Zero Zero,

I am heading off to the swap meet tomorrow.
They have two junior college swap meets right next to each other.
Now and then, I will find some good boxes of old miniatures from the 1970s and 1980s.
It is great to have these catalogs…Ral Partha, Grenadier Models, etc in a PDF form.

Take it easy.

Mugwump20 Nov 2008 9:37 a.m. PST

Who has the grenadier molds now? I'm trying to find the Arachnodroid from the Future Savages line.

Hello Mugwump,

Mirliton is supposed to have a lot of the molds at

Ral Partha Miniatures Collectors Group

Hello Everyone,

I started a Ral Partha Miniatures collecting group…

Basically, I am trying to put together a resource for collectors to identify, collect and discuss the old Ral Partha miniatures.

It is a Yahoo Group where I want to get together covers of catalogs, links to PDFs of catalogs, photos of miniatures, etc. in just one place. Unlike Grenadier Models with Terence Gunn's reference book, Ral Partha's information is scattered all over the Internet.

The group is at
link

Take Care,
Sean in California

maninthemoon24 Nov 2008 6:35 p.m. PST

Hello Everyone,

This is the coolest Ral Partha PDF Zip File that you will probaby ever find…I would Guess on the Internet.

Many Thanks to ERNST at Gaming Miniatures and to the man he got it from.

It includes most of the catalogs 1976 to closing.

It is really a treasure trove of images.

It is a brutal download. It took me two tries. It was 8 1/2 hours with a dial up for me, but was definitely worth it.

I will probably get it on a CD for those of you that have problems downloading it. You can email me at Maninthemoon65@yahoo.com

Probably, if you send me a buck for postage and CD that should cover the cost in a non-profit way…unless you are out of the U.S.

The Link is

And a ral partha at link

Thanks Much Ernst for this great collection.

cameosis29 Nov 2010 9:11 a.m. PST

gosh, i am two years late (just my luck with these things) … could any of the successful downloaders either reupload the ral partha and grenadier catalogs (megaupload or the like) or point me to a place where they are still accessible?

thanks a lot,
tomis

Syrinx030 Nov 2010 7:08 p.m. PST

Did you try the yahoo group? That has quite a few other links. The site dndlead.com/Catalogs.htm lists the Ral Partha catalogs.

cameosis04 Dec 2010 12:18 a.m. PST

thanks, i did. ral partha and grenadier should be covered catalog wise so far, i believe.

citadel's second and third compendium seem to be a lot harder to snatch in pdf, though. or is there some restrictive policy by gw that pursues uploads of their old catalogs?
