I'm just about 10% of the way through this. I've read all of Cozzens' books (as both a fellow ACW enthusiast and Foreign Service Officer, I feel doubly obliged) and this is a very good one of at least equal quality to his others. He does admire STonewall, but this is no haigiography. |

Read it, loved it. I like all of his books, felt the one on Iuka, Cornith was the best. In regards to Stonewall, I felt he was fair with him in this book. Well short of a Stonewall love fest (Gods & Generals). But again a good book with good gaming ideas (Kernstown, Cross Keys, & Port Republic) |
