AFAIK the vehicles and the new infantry gun are hard plastic, infantry soft plastic.

The infantry is weird though as it is a paintable soft plastic. It isn't like the soft plastic of other manufacturers. I didn't have to prepaint it with an achiral water/white glue mixture, perform the proper incantations, the magic dance then paint it and then repeat the ceremony over again to seal them.

I just sprayed them black and painted them and it stuck. It was weird.

Thanks! I'd been wondering about that myself.

I've got their first offerings, two sets of SS which are gorgeous figures. I haven't done anything with them yet, but they seem fine to me.

However, when they first came out they were made of an odd plastic that was very bendy. Some of the modellers on another list said they coated them in watered down PVA first or something like that – Bob Mackenzie, who is on TMP occasionally did some work with them, I believe (though my recollection may be wrong).

Some description of the bendiness is here: link

As I said, my sets, which may be later ones, seem to have better plastic than that described above.

Fabulous figures.

The reason for the coating in glue I mentioned was to reduce the bendiness of the guns. I didn't make that clear. now to think of it, maybe it wasn't PVA, but some sort of super glue.

So what is going on with Pegasus and their 1/72 scale range of plastic figs? I thought that the German Paras, Russian Mortars (Summer & Winter), and French Inf (WW1 & 2) were all done…so where are they??????

One question mark is sufficient (unless you are posting from a handheld device and could not help it).

Well that and not posting the same post in 4 similar threads LOL. Robert

I've built up a company's worth of KV-1C kits from Pegasus for Rapid Fire! They are easy to assemble, and have superior detailing to ArmourFast or other similar "fast build" kits.

Hope this helps!

Yes the Pegasus kits are fantastic!!!!!!!!!! I have a companys worth of SU-152s waiting to be built and painted!!!!
Question--How many SU-152s should be in a typical company?????????????I have 6???!!!

arch,

Hmmm… IIRC ten (10) was the magic number for Red Army tank or SP gun companies…. Soviet armoured formations were smaller than their Western or Axis counterparts in terms of number of vehicles, with Soviet companies being numerically on the level of a US platoon, and "regiments" being like companies, etc…
