And if so, do you like the game itself or are you using them for something else?

Something else…they work very nicely with Inquisitor.

I picked up what is released so far. Originally I was going to pick them up selectively for use with Inquisitor. However after playing a FFG demo of Mutant Chronicles at Gamers Reunion I found it to be a fun game and will be using them for both MC and =][=.

KennKong13 Oct 2008 1:34 p.m. PST

Both. I play the game and really like it. I got a starter and some supplements that were available at GenCon, but won't be out in general release for some time, apparently.

I have Inquisitor, but never played it – but might very well using this figures.

We've played on the maps and using inches/rulers. Either way works OK, but using inches and rulers opens up the terrain options for us, so that's how our little group will play for the most part.

It's a fun game.

Might I suggest Heroscape terrain for it. Anyways, after seeing the figures, I find myself incredibly disappointed, I do not plan on buying this at all.

While I like the fluff, the core rule mechanics, and some of the later WZ 28mm figs, I'll skip this one.

PzGeneral13 Oct 2008 4:43 p.m. PST

Nope. Not interested.

I like the game, but am disappointed in how slowly FFG is being in getting the rest of the 'expansion' out.

Id be all aver it if it was 28mm. I might pick up some of the large beasties as singles.

Saw them at the FLGS……meh.

Didn't do much for me when I tried it at Origins and the start up cost for 54mm figs is more than I care to bear.

Just trying to get a feel for how long this game may be around. :) I am buying figs and building units for ulimate warzone. I haven't tried the game itself, I'm just not interested in playing on a paper map, but from KennKong's comments perhaps you can play on regular terrain? I agree Beast that FFG has been generally extremely quiet about this game, they started generating buzz and then nothing, and no confirmed release dates, at least not from FFG directly. I did read one article that said the next wave of Brotherhood and Bauhaus figs would release on Oct 16th. I hope so!

Saw them at the FLGS……meh.

This, I looked thru them but didn't find anything that I could use… Not in that scale.

Down the way in that link to the post about MC, there's some comments from me regarding playing off the map and such. My extra two cents.

They showed off a new release pack a month ago or so and it was three (or maybe even four) of the exact same sculpt with just different paint jobs. That immediately turned me off.

Farstar15 Jan 2009 4:14 p.m. PST

Just played this game for the first time. For a game with big flashy prepaints visible through a window on the back of the box, the game has some surprising depth. The force composition rules are a bit too "tournamenty", but that's an easily overcome issue given the tools they've provided.

There are a couple units in the game where the multiple paintjobs on one sculpt actually make sense. I certainly wouldn't mind more sculpts, but I understand where they are coming from.

The Lost Soul20 Feb 2009 9:19 a.m. PST

As I noted on another thread, I just got the basic set plus some others at a deep discount. I have a lot of the old Warzone figures, but they are not painted. Considering that the game is ready to go out of the box, with the necessary dice, cards, map, etc., it suits the amount of gaming time I have available these days with my son.

And this doesn't mean I'm about to give up my 28mm addiction…
