Does anybody know the sizes of the crosses and swastikas on a typical Me110?

I have a range of markings from Doms decals and was thinking the equivalent of the 36" for the wing top sides and the 48" for the undersides.

The 30" for the sides.

If these aren't suitable I can make up my own decal sheet but I'm struggling to find out the original sizes.

I don't know offhand, but what I usually do when I'm not sure is find a suitable drawing on Wings Palette and measure up; the size of the plane's a known, so size of marking on the profile, divided by length of aircraft on the profile, times length of aircraft in real life, equals size of marking in real life.

Thanks Dom. I think that's what I'll have to do.

I think most were about a meter across, or 36".

The underwing markings could be larger, to prevent friendly fire, or the 48" markings should work as well.

I frequently compare the markings to the aircraft photos and profiles too, just as Dom mentions, and then measure them against the miniatures, to see which fits best.

That works well.

Thanks again. I measured up and reckon the samples I worked from had crosses on the upper surface that were 40 inches or near enough the one meter you mention. Scaling from this the underside markings are about 48 inches.

I've artworked a decal sheet for 9/ZG26 so hopefully I've have them in my hands soon.
