The title says it all, I can't find an M18 anywhere and google is coming up empty. It one of my favorite AFV's of WWII and I would like to add some to my game. Anybody know where to find one?

Ben Lacy26 Sep 2008 4:14 p.m. PST

Yeah…and we're still waiting for a PzIV too. Jürgen

Katzbalger26 Sep 2008 6:08 p.m. PST

Plenty of PzIV out there--off the top of my head there's Airfix and Revell and doesn't Armourcast do one too? (Though I guess it depends upon which model you are waiting for.)

I'm waiting for Dragon Armor, Hobby Masters or Easy Model.

I imagine you may have to purchase a plastic kit in 1/72nd scale.

I know MMS do it in metal, and Cromwell might do it in resin.

Top Gun Ace26 Sep 2008 9:04 p.m. PST

Sorry, almost forgot to add, the latter two are in 1/76th scale.

CCollins27 Sep 2008 12:44 a.m. PST

Milicast as well in 1/76th. If you're not too fussy on scale.

I'm waiting for Dragon as well. All it seems thsee companies want to do are more tigers.
PzIV would be nice.
Also an American Halftrack would be good too.

Ben Lacy27 Sep 2008 6:25 a.m. PST

I settled for the Forces of Valor halftrack. I'm happy with it, but it's not the same quality as DA or HM. Jürgen

HUBCommish27 Sep 2008 9:43 a.m. PST

Forces of Valor just released a PzIV in 1/72, along with an AH-64 Apache Longbow.

christot28 Sep 2008 9:24 a.m. PST

The PIV is pants apparently, which is a real blow

Murvihill29 Sep 2008 11:12 a.m. PST

Skytrex.com has them in the Hinchcliffe range in 1/76.

PeterH30 Sep 2008 3:34 p.m. PST

He's asking about M18 Hellcats, not halftracks or Panzer IVs or anything else !!!? Rhino Models used to make a resin one in 1/72, but they are oop as far as I know.

CCollins03 Oct 2008 1:14 a.m. PST

considering dragon don't do one in 1/35th, i strongly doubt they're going to do one in 1/72nd. trumpeter/easy model might, but then so might airfix or revell (hah!), i'd say academy are the best bet as they make one in 1/35th and seem interested in the smaller scale.

A real pity as I reckon its the sexiest thing the yanks ever made during the war.

Have you looked on the Retrokit web site, they have just released the M18 hellcat

George Buzby11 May 2009 7:09 a.m. PST

Cpl Overby does an M18 in Resin, which you mifght be able to find on ebay, which is one of his outlets. Otherwise, you can rach him through the Braille Scalle Discussion Group. Personally, I used the Milicast M18 in 1/76 scale.

HI

HAT Industries has a 2-vehicle M-10 Wolverine kit available now. With some mods, you could get it to pass for a Hellcat. HAT will be coming out with the M36 soon.
