I'm looking for some plastic toy spacemen that I remember when I was a kid back in the early 80s. The figures included a 1) Human Male – holding a raypistol in right hand, had a helmet with an antenna on top 2) Human Female – in miniskirt standing next to a control panel on a pedestal 3) Alien – Hairy body with ape-like face and a pair of antenna on top of head. Holding a rifle 4) Alien – turtle shell torso with crab claws for hands and eyestalks 4) Space Fighter that looked like an F-16 with 4 wings (not too scale with the figures) 5) Armored Male with Cape and Sword I recall the F-16 being available in a larger size also the alien's rifle and the male human's helmet and pistol being available in 1:1 scale. These were typical of your classic plastic army men you played with in the sandbox. |

I had them as a kid and they were in bright pinks, yellow, green, and white if I recall correctly. I remember seeing them at the site above. I have ordered items from there and was satisfied with the service and the products. The owner will likely have knowledge as to where they may be obtained Cheers! |

Hmmmm, I never saw those. We only had human astronauts in red, white, and blue plastic, if I recall correctly. Obviously, the red ones were the commies (1960's era), and I guess the blue ones must have been from the UN. |

Wow, those were my favorite figures as a kid! I remember those well, even lost a few to a Cherry Bomb 4th of July 1983 ;-)
.Would like to locate some myself. I also remember another line that I cannot locate, it was a sci-fi line, circa very early 80's, figures had a green metal base, and they were multi-pose,plastic black bodies, yellow accessories, etc, IIRC. They were average toy soldier sized (not bigger than 1/48 I believe), back in Spokane,WA at a place called the Flour Mill there was an imported toy store that carried them. |

I just saw them on ebay a few days ago. Search toys and hobby's for spacemen or space man |

They're still available commercially; I've seen them at Wal-Mart from time to time. Takes some hunting, though. The set also included a sort of robot that sort of looked a bit like a flatpanel air conditioner on stubby legs. First saw these a while after STAR WARS first came out. |

MWeaver: Probably not them, either. I used to have the guy on the right:auction I had that guy too! Snap on see through helmet, ray pistol
I think my mother got them as party favors for one of my birthdays, lo these many (many, many) years ago. Wish I still had them
Ain't that the way it is with all the really cool toys? |

I remember these from my childhood. They came with that cheesy starfighter that was basically an F16 with X wings on it. I loved that set as a kid. |

My buddy had a bunch of these figures. We would set them up with our Marx WWII army men and batle for the planet. Aaahhh
good times. |

BTW, found the large scale 'X-16'. auction 11.5" long would make it pretty good for 28mm scale usage
..hmmmm. |

Mm. The ones I had when I was a kid were bagged, with no jet plane. I saw the same figures in a boxed playset once, though, with the fighter. |

Found the company that made them! processedplastic.com they even have a few on display along the bottom link Unfortunately they don't have any currently in production. I'll send them an email tonight. |

Wow, I owned the "X-16" in the early eighties! I loved that toy, eventually, I had pried off the missiles and popped the pilot out of the cockpit. I remember playing with figures from the "Galaxy Laser Team" but I think they belonged to a cousin or other friend. |

I had a pile of these when I was a kid. Just recently found them in my parent's attic! I found my brother's too, but haven't gotten them yet – thought I would be nice and wait until he passed on them! Most of mine were in good shape, and I have at least one of each type in each color. |
| Doctor Bedlam | 25 Sep 2008 12:23 p.m. PST |
Hah? The only thing they have in production at the moment is green army men? Now that's just wrong. I'm sure I could go out and find a bag of those Cowboys and Indians, right this moment. Or is this company not the only ones who make those particular figures? |
| The Lost Soul | 26 Sep 2008 6:11 a.m. PST |
They go really well with the old Marx battleground vehicles (the open-topped APC and the weird tank with the long barrel). I think MPC may have taken over the moulds for awhile, but now they're sold as Marx replicas. Horrible as WWII or modern armor, but great as hokey Sci Fi! |

CmdrKiley, I have ten or so of these guys, still in great shape. Interested in a trade? |
