Anyone know by chance whether this title is ever going to be reprinted?? I would really like to expand my knowledge of the U.S. Regular infantry that served during the ACW. I currently have a copy of Johnson's title on the Regular Brigade in the Army of the Cumberland but Reese's title is proving very difficult if not impossible to locate on the market and when found the price is extraordinarily high. I wonder why this has never been reprinted as of yet. I'm quite certain others would also love to get their hands on this one as well.

I read it years ago, the library here at Temple has a copy. If there is a local library, try Interlibrary Loan, they can get you almost anything.

Thanks Scott. I have a go at it for sure. Hopefully it will work up here in Canada. If not it's back to the drawing board. If it's any indication, it'll take some time to find a good copy thats for sure. It took me nearly 3 years to finally be able to locate and purchase Scott Patchan's 'The Forgotten Fury'.

Cheers, John

John: When and where was it published? Our university library (which, by coincidence is in Canada) has a very large Civil War collection – I can ask for you to see if they have or can get it for you

You can contact me off-forum at mrieder@uwo.ca

Hi Frederick,

Many thanks for your response. Hopefully they do have this one. Here are the particulars:

Sykes' Regular Infantry Division, 1861-1864: A History of Regular United States Infantry Operations in the Civil War's Eastern Theater
Reese, Timothy J.
McFarland & Company, 1990

Sorry I could not e-mail you at present. My e-mail service is down unfortunately for the time being. I can receive e-mails, but cannot send them out for now. Once again many thanks.
