I'm looking for dice with arrows on them. Specifically I'd like to run down some 8 sided dice with arrows but will settle for 6 siders. I want to pick up about 6 of these without buying a bunch of other dice I don't want or need. Don't care much about the size. Is there somewhere in North America that you can buy these? mjc |

GW sells them – they are artillery dice – also FoW has a dice tin with arrows on them too. They have arrows usually with a number – the GW one also has a "hit" symbol which coincidentally also has a directional arrow just in case. You should find them at Merlin's or HobbyTown USA in Spokane, Mike. |

Why not just use regular 8 siders and whichever way the top point is pointing, thats the direction of the scatter. |

You can just use regular D6, D8, or D12 dice, designating one side of the table as North, or using the clock facings as well, with the D12's. Works well. North is number 6, 8, or 12, respectively. |

Aberrant Games is selling a transparent d6 with a smaller d6 inside it. The internal die has 6 arrow heads on it. Works great for 1-6" deviations. The dice originally could only be obtained in an Rezolution starter set, but Aberrant now sells them from their site. link Other games we've just simply rolled a d10 or d20 and used the direction of the point on the die to indicate direction. |

Em4 in Uk sells D6 with arrows and they gives great service and quick shipping |

I've got a d8 with triangles on it to show random scatter. Amazon Miniatures put it in their Sumo Basho game. You might check with them. |

I use blank d6 and draw a arrow on each face with a Sharpie. Cheap and easy! |

Is it Harmony House Hobbies that is at Historicon in the corner of the dealer area by the snack bar?? I picked up a couple of them from there last year. |

Check the guys at ODGW.com (Old Dominion Games) especially if you are in the US. They have random direction dice. Besides, they are great guys writing games like Meine Panzer for WWII, Gereal Quarter III, and Battlelines (ACW). They are a small company and would really appreciate the extra business. Skipper |

You could also just use a D1 instead, with an arrow taped to the top. For you clumsy people that can't keep the "right" side up, use a D2, instead, with arrows on both sides. |

How about a spinner that you flick with your finger like in child's games? |

D10s work well just use the high point on the die for the dir. and you can use the number for the dist. |

Just curious – why are you looking for a D8 and why do you think D6 is second best? It won't affect the probability of the arrow pointing in any particular direction. |

Maybe his game uses all d8s and he just wants them the same. That's the only reason I can think of. |
