Remembering Marx WOW Figures

If you were a kid in the 1960s who loved history and toy soldiers, you probably had a WOW figure!

The collection is now over half finished. The lead mound is looking less daunting day by day, the terrain is to all intents and purposes done – SO TIME TO START PLAYING.

New troops, virgin terrain, untested rules – I can't wait to get started!

Seljuk Turks Vs Franks. 13 units of Seljuk cavalry Vs 5 units of Frankish cavalry (if Turcopoles count) and 6 units of Frankish infantry.

I've posted the simple scenario here.

Simply beautiful

Can you give us some ideas regarding the mods you made to Field of Battle for the Crusading Era? I'd intensely interested in both FoB and the Crusades!

Hi Twitchy,

pop me an email via the Yahoo – Piquet group, Miniature Army Campaigns, Old School Wargaming, Shattered Lances, or Ancmed groups.

I've written a couple of supplements for Piquet, but unfortunately FoB was not one of them. Brent's a nice bloke, but so much of Ager Sanguinis IS Field of Battle, that it would not do to spill his work all over TMP.

I await further news about this fight!

Very nice! Would love to know how you constructed your table. I'm about to start on mine. Thanks for sharing

Larry R,

I presume you do mean the table?

I used chip board on top of kitchen base units. Expensive (£300), but the damn thing will last forever and it comes complete with built in terrain storage!

James, exactly what I meant. Thanks, that's what I'd like to do also.
