Subject: Supermarine Spitfire Mk.Vb
Manufacture: Armaments in Miniature armamentsinminiature.com
Scale: 1/100
Medium: Resin with metal detail parts
Price: OUT OF PRODUCTION

The kit consists of a one piece fuselage/wing/tail assembly and several metal detail parts (cannons, landing gear, antenna). The kits I found at a convention were probably 10 years old. The wings on a few of the models were warped but a dip in some hot water straightened them right out. The model also had raised panel lines on the wings and tail. I scraped the panel lines off with a hobby knife and sanded the wings smooth. I finished four of the Spits as standard Mk.Vbs. I clipped the wings on three other kits and scribed panel lines into the wings and horizontal stab.

Recommendation: If you can find one of these OOP kits buy it. If you don't want it let me know and I may pick it up.

Post assembly:
Decals: I-94 Enterprises – very nice decals
Paint: Vallejo Model Colors
Primer: Rust-Oleum Gray Automotive Primer
Matte Finish: Krylon Crystal Clear Matte

Looks nice. Scribing the panel lines makes a real diffrence.
