Well, it took a while to get the next batch of pics up but they are there waiting. This visual record takes us right to close to the end of the battle. French walls collapse, filling in sections of the moat and allowing English archers and men-at-arms to fight their way into the city, even as the French defenders are constructing barricades atop the remaining rubble…

The pics include what was probably the high-point of the battle for the French defenders: their trebuchet atop the large corner tower succeeding in bringing down a nearby English siege tower.

Here's the link -- just click on "Siege of Harfleur, Day Three"…

In addition to "Day Three" be sure to check out the article titled: "A lucky strike!" It shows an amazing moment from the second time we fought this same siege, during which the crow mounted atop the French battlements managed to snag a poor English besieger and turn his day quite unpleasant indeed.

Here's a direct link to that one, for the impatient sadists among you:

Pat,

Wish I could tell you but I'm not the web guy of the group.

Web guy happens to have just left town for about a week -- but if he has net access he'll provide the answer. If not, he'll post it when he gets back.

I'm using joomla as the CMS with an extension called Rsgallery to handle the photo galleries.
