For those who are interested the long awaited 1st expansion to the War at Sea miniature game has finally been released.

From what i know this set is heavy on aircraft like the Emily and Beau Fighter.

And ships like the Admiral Hipper,USS Yorktown and Musashi.

I don't have any myself right now but i plan to get some at some point, but i wanted to give a heads up to the people who game with these mini's.

I had planned to order a case, but never got around to it. I picked up three boosters at a local game shop. I pulled the IJN Zuikaku, Tirpitz, and HMS Kent. I am happy with the minis for the most part. The camoed deck on the japanese carrier looks great, but the Tirpitz paint job is pretty crappy; the distortion camo on the hull is fine, but, aside from the wash, NOTHING else is painted, not even the deck. I have to wonder if this is a factory error. I would think it SHOULD have the cool full-dazzle scheme most commonly associated with this ship (though I can't remember when/how long she bore that paint scheme). I am also less than happy with the fact that the issue of the original Bismarck sculpt's superfiring turrets not being able to 'clear' the A & Z turrets was never fixed in this 'sister ship'.

Hm.

That's why you're better off buying actual miniatures.

I really don't like the WaS stuff.
