Would you sign up for a Yahoo! Group in order to receive updates from a miniatures company you were interested in? |

I have great difficulties with any Yahoo group, theres something about the registration process to view sites that is a real bind. So, no! |

I have done in the past, but periodically purge my groups when the numbers get out of hand – manufacturers' groups are invariably the first to go, so it doesn't work terribly well for me

I'm a member of several – but actually haven't been active on them for a long time. Mainly due to my interests shifting away from their product – at least for the time being. |

I have never joined any Yahoo groups though I have been invited to join specific ones because of the Spam generated. Would one be of interest? Yes. Especially is there was informative interaction, not just announcements of new releases. . |

I am a member of one. I find it useful to know what product is in the pipeline. |

No. While yahoo groups are wonderful and I can't imagine why anyone would have diffuclty joining a specific group, it really is too difficult to manage multiple groups. It's much better for the manufacturer to manage multiple emails themselves. -- Tim |

No, I am sick of yahoo groups. I don't like the format of them, I don't like the hassle of trying to join them. I find them to be a totally unsatisfactory way to find any information out. |

Yep, already do. I belong to a variety of yahoo groups and I find them to be a great alternative source of info. |

I'd much rather see a manufacture set up an RSS feed that I can subscribe to. |

Yes – I frequent BAM and AGN quite a lot. However a forum like what Baccus uses would be best (but a lot more work). |

I am a member of some already. I like them. |

I belong to two, one I don't bother checking anymore, Wessex, and Brigade Games, as I buy a lot of stuff from Him it's worth going to. My goal this year is to join as few Yahoo Groups as possible. |

It would depend upon the manufacturer. I probably visit the websites of my faves more often then they would post info anyway. |

Absolutely! Joined the Anglian Miniatures Yahoo group and never regretted it. Best of all must be the Iron Ivan group. I joined because I had some questions about one or two of their rules. Next thing I know there's a sonic boom and the answer is already there. Highly recommended! |

Yes. Brigade, Artizan, BAM for example. But the worst thing a manufacturer can do is put up a site and post lots of greens that never arrive as figures, and i'm talking years here, not months. Wessex does this for example and Brigade to certain extent : ) (Give us some Gebirgs command and snipers packs Lon! The greens are lovely! But its been a very long wait! : ) ) |
