anybody know of a commercially available sheet of US stars and bars decals that would be of use for a plane of this size in this scale..a link would be helpful..

A set of 1/72 fighter decals would probably do the trick, of which there are many out there – shan't bother linking as you'd be better off sourcing them locally – hell, you can probably find a discounted Mustang or P47 kit somewhere.

Armaments In Miniature makes a set of decals for their 1/100 scale Waco glider.

I'd do what Dom suggests. Pick a cheap kit of a WW2 US fighter and pinch the decals. Alternatively, have a search for 1/72 decals on ebay and see what pops up.

Armaments in miniature do them and with a range of serial no's so your paras can have several different Waco's.

well that 30 seconds well spent typing the request…hadn't run across Armaments in miniature…though they wont be back processing orders till the 31st, best to paint he gliders and wait..thanks chaps, you have been a great help..I am in Australia and there really aren't cheap kits here, and there seems a total lack of anybody selling decal sheets, at least anybody listing that activity on line..

Send me a PM with your address and I'll send you some of my spare decals by post. They don'y weigh much so should get to you down under by airmail pretty quick.

How many do you need?

And what size (diameter)? I'm sure I can find some 1/72nd scale ones that would do for 1/100 scale.

Cardinal, I run Armaments In Miniature (see armamentsinminiature.com). If interested in purchasing some Waco decals, there is no problem sticking them in an envelope and sending them to Australia. It is the larger orders that I can not process at this time because of preparation for Historicon.

Sounds like the best option. Let me know if you want some spares too.
