I've searched and searched, and finally found what might be the closest one can come to the "U.S. ARMY" stenciling font seen on the underwings of all Army Air Corps/Air Force aircraft, which was utilized up to the early part of America's involvement in World War II: link And remember, the stenciling was rendered in Insignia Blue, not black, as popularly believed, but that can be a matter of choice given the scale of the model. Happy stenciling!
