Hello there well i have a small Navwar Roman fleet which i got thru a friend in England.

I've not had time until now to start painting them so i need some help.

Now i think i know the basics of how these ships are to be painted, but there's 2 areas where i need some help.

First off is the sail since i'm intending to use the sails like other people have done,i need to know where i can get designs like dragons or other items to put on the sail's.

The second thing is the eyes in the bows of the ships how do i do this, since it's really hard to paint the eyes so is there any decals that i can use for this problem?

Thanks
Captain Gideon

Veni Vidi Vici for the sails: 3vwargames.co.uk/10_ten.htm

Figure out the size you need, then e-mail VVV to get the right sheets.

Can't help with the eyes, but in 1/1200 they're pretty tiny. I hand-painted the ones on my 1/1200 galleys. Practice on some scrap plastic until you can keep the sizes fairly consistent.

Virtual Scratchbuilder did a Workbench article on painting the Langton 1/1200 Renaissance galleys fairly recently in excellent depth.

Can you tell me where this workbench article on painting the Langton 1/1200th Renaissance galleys is on the Virtual Scratchbuilder site?

Thanks

Galleys didn't use sails in battle. I paint eyes on mine.

Thanks,

John
