Just a quickie poll… Do you paint over your canopies on your Century 21's or plastic kits, or do you leave them clear? Jury is still out for me.

I just leave them clear, but would prefer if pilots were in them.

Of course, I really should at least paint the panel lines on them, but haven't up to now.

Ugh, why would you paint over clear plastic?

"Ugh, why would you paint over clear plastic?"

To match the majority of my aircraft, which are pewter and thus have solid canopies. In a mix, a clear one sticks out like a sore thumb.

A friend always painted his canopies black, but from the inside. Looked cool.

Never, ever painted a plastic canopy.

I'm working on some 1/144 jet kits now, but for display purposes rather than gaming purposes.

I've been painting the panel lines but leaving the clear sections clear. Not that there's a whole lot of cockpit to show off in 1/144 scale.

Clear. Why would I want to paint them>?

Clear here.

I leave them clear if there is pilot figure or crewman behind the canopy/window. If there's no crew of if the clear plastic is foggy then I'll paint them.
