So here is the list I have so far of people who make 6mm SciFi ground war figures. Have I missed anybody?

Please avoid acronyms – not everyone knows what FW Tau means…

Baccus: They have a small but growing range called Command Horizon. Currently two races: Humans and Centaurs. Designed for their in-house rules set by the same name. Web site: baccus6mm.com

Ground Zero Games: aka GZG. They produce 1/300 scale vehicles and terrain in support for their Dirtside rules set. Range includes lots of vehicles, armored infantry and bugs. Wesbite: groundzerogames.net

Games Workshop: aka GW or the Evil Empire. An extensive range in support of their Epic Armageddon game. Website: gamesworkshop.com

Forge World: A subsidiary of Games Workshop offering more models for the Epic Armaggeddon game system. Website: link

Warehouse 23/Steve Jackson:The makers of miniatures for the now infamous OGRE game. Website: warehouse23.com

Majic Miniatures: Majic have a small range of resin space ships and odd aircraft. Website: MajicMIniatures.com

Adler: Adler have do a small range called Dark Star with vehicles and infantry figures. Website: link

Brigade Models: Brigade offer a substantial range of 6mm figures including vehicles, walkers and infantry. Plus, their land ironclads might also prove useful! Website: BrigadeModels.co.uk

Feel free to add to the list!

Steel Crown Productions: Maker of Exodus Wars figures and vehicles. exoduswars.com

I believe Maxim Smelchak, a sometimes poster to TMP has a similar project going on his blog. You may wish to compare notes.

Irregular Miniatures: figures and vehicles

Monday Knight Productions: MAATAC robots and vehicles

15mm.co.uk: As the name implies they are a maker of 15mm figures but they have 6mm infantry also.

Fortress Figures: 6mm armor.

Time for bed now. Bye!

Hi EC,

I have a couple of lists. I haven't done a compile thouh in some time.

I do, however, beleive that youa re already a member of the 6mm sci-fi groups that has a links library to manufacturers.

Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.

I've never seen any pics of SF from Scotia-G. Anybody have some?

jfleisher05 Jun 2008 8:48 a.m. PST

Steve Jackson Games Ogre line has infantry figs in 6mm

Covert Walrus05 Jun 2008 11:14 a.m. PST

Darby, they used to have pictures on the website, but since the remake I don't know if they have come back yet.

Whoever got the rights to the MJ Miniatures line probably has the BAD COMMAND robots and some of those minis are 6mm.

FORCE XXI have some resin 6mm armour that ranges for indifferent to quite good.

Some of the lower numbered CAV items from REAPER are good for 6mm – If you need a transport aircraft/dropship a la ALIENS the Merlin is perfect at a scale 28 metres long.

I really like the Dark Star range by Adler, but their vehicles are a bit expensive, as you can see from the list above.

Their figures are nice though.

Judas Iscariot08 Jun 2008 10:22 a.m. PST

I wish that I could convince Adler to expand upon that line a bit.

I would nearly kill for some more support vehicles for that line (and I mean non-combatant support for the most part – but a few artillery vehicles and some infantry artillery would be good too)

Knockman24 Jun 2008 4:10 a.m. PST

EC,

Excellent list, many thanks – I've just spent some hard-earned funds and I reckon some of my gaming crew could soon well be doing the same :o)

Knockman26 Jun 2008 3:33 p.m. PST

OK, have to put in a good word for darkrealm – very quick turnaround on my order and well packed – even had an explantory note in the box about the stock, a pleasure to do business with.

Top Gun Ace26 Jun 2008 3:34 p.m. PST

Yes, I would like to see more for the Adler range done as well, especially more combat vehicles, e.g. more mobile AA guns and missile launchers for the various factions, self-propelled guns, tank killers, VTOL's, aircraft, etc.

I'm less interested in non-combat support vehicles though.

Adler's stuff is actually cheaper through their US distributor, as you get three tanks for $7.25 USD (or roughly £3.60): link

So much for my search skills! Master of thread duplication me.

very helpful threag this…

Cog Comp19 Jul 2010 2:17 a.m. PST

Adler just did a release of some new mid-tech vehicles for their 6mm line.

I too would like to see a few artillery pieces, command staff vehicles, or sensor towers (although I have already built about ten that look pretty good. mask has seen them). I need to go looking for some interesting machined mechanical pencil parts. They usually make for decent sensor towers for 6mm forces.

Covert Walrus19 Jul 2010 4:04 p.m. PST

Anyone mentioned the grav tanks and dino-riders from MicroWorld Games yet? :)

Covert Walrus19 Jul 2010 6:45 p.m. PST

Oh and check out Irrational Designs through the link in the Manufacturer's List here on TMP.

Hi, excuse the thread necromancy.. but has anyone done an upto date list of 6mm scifi figure makers recently?

Artraccoon18 Jul 2012 8:58 a.m. PST

I'm a fan of the often overlooked "Days of Empire" line by Reviresco. link

Some neat stuff there, monster tanks abound. And the prices are nice. I'll often add extras to their models( MGs, stowage, sensors, etc…) to give them better details. I gotta order more of the T-488 monster tanks.

Covert Walrus26 Jul 2012 5:02 p.m. PST

Artraccoon, I agree on some of the Reviresco vehicles – Love their Harridan soviet style helo, perfect for micro-games of Cyberpunk ( Yes, really ) – but a lot of the "6mm" vehicles work slightly better with 10mm. Not that that is a bad thing though.

I'm still missing some MBT sized quad walkers, which there are so many designs out there, just no minis sadly – most are in the Mech size range, though often nice.

BlackWidowPilot Fezian26 Jul 2012 5:56 p.m. PST

Covert,

as the culprit who designed so much of the DoE line, I'm glad you like the Harridan.evil grin
