Here: picture are some fantasy monsters and hero types. They are mirror images as they are meant to be printed on adhesive paper, folded over, cut out into flats and mounted. Now, they look nice for this purpose, except that I don't really care much for paper flats. So here's my question: With all the technology that we have these days, there must be something out there that would print these little guys onto balsa wood, pvc sheet, or something similar, and do it on both sides, AND cut them out. Can anybody think of a way of accomplishing this, or something similar, so that cheap, easy flats would be available? Seems like anybody interested in flats would want to help out with this project, so please do a little research (so will I) and let me know if you find anything. Almost seems like something the big brains at Litko might have a way of doing

Friend of mine does Shrinky-Dink stand ups and colors them in with markers. Since the plastic is clear, the image shows on both sides. They still pack flat, but are very sturdy for game use. shrinkydinks.com |

Thanks for the suggestions guys, but there has to be something more out there than that. After a little research, it seems that some company makes a programmable copier and cutter that does exactly this. Only slight downside is that the machine costs half a million bucks. However, somebody who actually owns one of these machines must contract out. Anyway, I'll keep looking. MEPHISTOPHELES "Part of that power which still, Produceth good while ever scheming ill" |
