OK, so I am slowly preparing my 15mm figures for Traveller RPGing. I am planning on doing up some Zhodani as antagonists. Zhodani are basically human, but have a different culture than other humans. They are portrayed as wearing turbans when not in combat gear. I am hoping someone can suggest a 15mm range of figures that have turbans, elegant clothing, and not so much archaic weapons that they would look out of place in a futuristic setting. I am thinking some of the time periods in India would be suitable, particularly command figures, but I am really shaky on my India history and culture and have no idea what I am looking for. Guys with smords or pisols (even blackpowder pistols!) would be very approproate, but not long rifles or bows. There might even be modern miniatures with turbans and assault rifles, which would be almost perfect, but I think that is hoping too much. Any and all help is appreciated! |

How about modifying some ACW Zouaves? Lots of them out. |

A possibility might be our Maharrata figures from the History of India range. Fortunately this is one of the ranges where all of the models have their photos on the website so you'll be able to make a reasonable call on this one yourself :-) link Paul |

MJ Minis also do heavily armed modern Afghans, but they are v. hard to find at the moment – depends who has go the moulds I guess. I haven't seen their stuff at shows for a couple of years. |
