Has anyone painted these up and used them in wargames? Just wondering how they turn out painted, and how well they hold up being handled frequently in wargames?

I'm also interested, especially in seeing them next to 28mm – 30mm figs and how they all look next to the 1/48 vehicles.

Here you go. This question has been raised in the past:

good figs, but i have to handle them gingerly. Also, lots of parts to glue … lots.

Many of the parts are to scale and therefore extremely fragile.

We game with the 1/35 scale figures and they hold up just fine.
These 1/48s are just smaller versions of those, identical really.

WWIIFanatik, Thanks for the pics! Wow, after seeing the Tamiya figures next to the dwarfs, I don't think I can go back. I'll just have to go with Tamiya figures until Fox Miniatures come out with their line of metal figures.

They're not dwarves, just beefy.

And standing on 3mm high bases :-)

We (Wargames @ Nordalia) have the Americans in for a comparative review with the major metal vendors, but that review is a ways out yet. I suppose I could swap it with the 28mm German review (that we did not bring in Tamiya for) and get it out within a month.

Don.
