I am just starting to collest a 15mm Yi Korean Army. I am using Grumpy's Miniatures available from Eureka Miniatures. The line is outstanding except for 1 fact. They have no heavy infantry. eurekamin.com.au/index.php?cPath=329_330_339&sort=3a I was wondering if anyone currently makes any Yi Heavy Infantry in 15mm. I know even Red Box just released a box of "Heavy Infanty" in their line of 1/72 plasti Koreans. Thanks for any help. PS. I'll take suggestions for any suitable figures to "play" Heavy Koreans in my army. Here is a link to what they should look like: link |

Falcon have just what you want. Quartermaster is hard to get ahold of however. Kai I think will be at Historicon. VR James Mattes |

Yes kai did Yi Koreans and Thai via his own company but they were not Falcon. the were called the name of the street that his Quartermaster company was located on. |

Looks like the web page is still down. Re: the heavy infantry, I spoke w/ Grumpy from Grumpy Miniatures today. He said that when he made the Yi Koreans he could find absolutely no sources for armored infantry. He said if I forward him any source material he would consider making the miniatures. Does anyone know of any info re: Korean Hevay Infantry for 1300-1600 or are they a myth (could they be Imperial Guard or dismounted cavalry?)? |

I was considering using Eurekas Armored Ming infantry in a pinch. I'm more just interested at this point in finding out if there even were armored Korean infantry units in this time frame, or just dismounted officers? |

Well I have seen some of the uniforms in the Military museum in Korea when I was there last. FWIW I have seen serveral of the Korean Dramas on the three kingdoms that have some very good work ups of the uniforms. There are some excellent silk prints I have seen when there as well. VR James Mattes |

I saw Kai at Fall In last year. I saw him shopping in the flea market at Cold Wars as well. He talked like he would be getting the website back up and was planning on being at Historicon. If so there will be contact information in the program book. Post a thread after Hcon here and I will pull up the contact information from the book. VR James Mattes |

Naismith makes a Korean 15mm line. If I recall, they are Koryu dynasty, but they did offer a couple heavy variants in mail armor with an LTS & Sh. |

"Lou from BSM", any idea how the Naismith would mix with the Eureka 15's? |

UK: I would equate the Naismith with the Falcon range in terms of compatibility. I believe the Eurekas would be a bit on the taller side of 15. |
