They planned that 1:48 release for summer 2007 but now it's nearly a year since the last post on the blog. Anybody know what's up with them? foxminiatures.com |

Mr Meier had this to say: "T Meier 23 Mar 2008 2:12 p.m. PST I'm working on them as I get the time. The problem was I set out a block of time for a relatively small initial release then the project expanded and I have had to fit the expansion into my schedule which has been particularly tight lately. Also gaming hobby contract work, like what I do for Fox or Dark Sword gets pushed back whenever I get a job doing toy work since toy work pays two to four times as much money. Just lately I've had a lot of toy work which is good for me but not so good for people waiting for me to finish their projects." So I guess we just keep saving up our money, waiting for the day when they are relesed. |

I am hoping the figures show up some day. I plan on picking some up and trying some WW2 gaming when they do. |

I say, if Tom is reading this, what sort of things do you mean by toy work? Doing stuff for some of the big toy companies? I'd love to hear what sort of stuff you've worked on, if that's not being too inquisitive. -- Tim |

Loosly translated: "Don't bet on it." |

Not sure what you mean by 'Don't bet on it? The line WILL be released. I have seen some of the metal figures 1st hand. They ARE gorguos. Thanks, John |

I thought they were stunning as well, but I had my doubts that the line would be terribly big or have enough variety to actually game with them. I'd buy and paint some in a heartbeat, though! |

"what sort of things do you mean by toy work" Hasbro, Star Wars at the moment that's really all I can say. Hasbro is using 3-D printing and computer sculpting for almost everything now but the technology still doesn't work very well for some things, those are the sort of things I get. Nothing very flashy. "The line WILL be released." Indeed it will, I've just had a remarkable run of toy work, more in the last six months than in the previous three years. It's bound to play out soon though. "I had my doubts that the line would be terribly big or have enough variety to actually game with them." Jim Fox wants figures to be able to make three squads of each troop type, one dug in, one on patrol and one under fire, that will be 20-30 figures of each type. |
