The two Evas I ordered arrived earlier today. I took a couple quick shots of one of them in the package.

The head being separate works out well as I was going to replace it anyway – particularly as the head on this unit is too Tau-like.

Not really impressed with the quality of the included weapon accessories. I'm not sure if the accessory packs are any better or not. I may wind up biting the bullet and finding out.

Of course now that they're actually here I guess that means I have to start deciding what I'm going to do to them (or it, rather since at the moment the second one is just a back up in case of disaster).

And a shot of it opened with a couple figures for comparison:

The build quality on this thing is about what can be expected. Some of the joints, particularly the waist joint are rather loose, so I'll either have to find a way to tighten it up, or else lock it into place.

Also the quality of the weapons doesn't really matter at the moment, because it can't hold them anyway. There are no extra hands in the package, and the default hands are closed fists. Apparently you have to buy the accessory weapon packs in order to get different hands.

All of which is a bit of a pain, but none of which was really unexpected (except the hands issue). I'll either come up with workarounds, or else turn them into bitz and get use out of them that way.

Where did they come from jbenton? I the price is reasonable I might pick one up myself to convert into an Eldar revenant.

That's what I picked mine up for, Dan. I got them from mugentoys.com (where I also picked up a couple of the Steel Battalion figures). I'm going to keep my eye out to see if they get any of the 15" EVAs back in stock.

Rambling aside, here's a link to them: link

Unfortunately the EVA-00' is the only one they have in stock, though they also have a more expensive model kit of the EVA-00 that I believe is about the same size (same unit roughly, only orange and without the fins): link

If you decide to pick one up I'd like to see the results of any conversion.

Thanks for the heads up Mr Benton. At that price I ordered one of each. I'll let you know how they work out, and maybe by the time I finish them I'll have a camera and someplace to post the pictures even. grin
