Well, it's certainly well up on the list if it is not #1…

If anyone has any photographs of your own Civil War dioramas that you would like me to consider adding to the upcoming Brothers Divided scenario book for the Brother Against Brother gaming system, please let me know ASAP!

The one at the campground is awe insiring

Indeed, it is. I like Dennis's a little better from the photos I have seen because he's modeled the exact farmhouses and barns instead of using generic off-the-shelf models. Both are outstanding pieces of work that are quite impressive.

The Artillery Ridge Campground diorama was featured in an issue of Civil War Times Illustrated many years ago when the diorama was still located in a shopping mall in Kalamazoo, Michigan, before being moved to Artillery Ridge Campground for permanent display. It is much larger as it encompasses the entire battlefield. Dennis's effort is more focused and smaller in scope.

Looks very impressive indeed.

Very nice dioramas! Although I can almost hear the tiny little file closers screaming at the men to dress their ranks and close up all of those gaps between the files :)

Let's not forget the disgraceful treatment of the Palmetto Ranch diorama at the Texas Military Forces Museum. There is some news on that subject at:

Yes, it's a Yahoo group, but you don't have to join it to view the massages and access the news links in them.

It would be a shame, in my opinion, for miniatures enthusiasts to forget what was done there.

Beautiful scenery work. Down here in Texas we call it Hood's Division under Law though.

Lovely work! The terrain is beautiful and well done! Can I just point out a few things. The computer-generated smoke and background scenery really enhance it! The Rose Farm is a little off in relation to their position to each other. And what's with all the Rebs in sky-blue pants! The fences could use a couple more rails for realism. I don't mean to sound so critical, but if it's a diorama as opposed to a gaming board, I think there could be some improvements. Don't get me wrong, I still give very high praise to the creator and artist!
I really like the diorama at Artillery Ridge campground, but it has it's faults too! The scale of it impresses me, but as Scott Said, the buildings are just generic. Overall, it gives a good representation of the battlefield and the look of large numbers of troops, even though it falls way short of the actual numbers.
