Yesterday I needed to go to a meeting at the Valley Forge Convention Center. I live about 50 miles away. I left the house TWO hours before I needed to be there and barely made it on time. It took me 53 minutes to go the last 9 miles on Rt 422 to the exit for the Convention Ctr. Talk about fun!!!!

And this was on a Tuesday. I don't even want to think about it on a Friday.

Move there and you can count me out.

Hey, sounds like everyday driving in England. Takes me 30-45 minutes to drive the 8.5 miles to work each day :-)

I second Keith. When I was still in PA. the direct route from one shop to home was past the convention center. I drove 20+ miles out of the way on the turnpike to go around the traffic. It was faster than trying to drive 2 miles on Rt 422.

I would agree. The congestion in the King of Prussia area around that convention center can be brutal.

It's always been horrid. I went to college on the main line and spent many years in that area. Always a nightmare. Plus it's a law that every road in the area must have "Gulf" in its name. Locals know what I mean.

I voted against Valley Forge in Spring of 2003 or so. It has really NOT been a serious consideration since.

Traffic there is, in a word, unbearable.

Errr… you guys driven in or around Lancaster lately? Route 30, anyone? Two lanes of solid truck traffic both-ways.

My hopes were always on either Wilmington DE or Trenton, NJ.

Isn't this beating a dead horse? I thought all talk of moving to Valley Forge ended a while ago after the "discovery" that the local township would require all sellers, including those in the flea market, to get an expensive license.

They should put the damn thing in Baltimore; airport, convention center, stuff for the family to do, crab cakes. Oh, and yes raise the fees so that it gets done properly!!!

I have dreams about Faidley's Crab Cakes, which is walking distance from the convention center. My first trip there, the guy in front of me just got out of 15 years of jail and went straight to Faidley's for lunch.

Trenton NJ! Wow – can we? I'd sign up for that right now. :(

Valley Forge really is flogging a dead horse. The current study had it ranked around ninth out of six possible choices.

In Trenton where?
