Just got this rule set to use with Eric Hotz Roman Seas paper minis. What does everyone else think of it? Is there a yahoo/google group that I should look into?

Check Wooden Wars or War Galley on Yahoo groups. I have them and many others. It is one of the better sets available right now. I prefer Raven vs Ram. ;-)

Good set, we play them with 1:1200 galleys.
A little bit heavy on the sailing , but we mostly play battles with only oars and that's ok.
4 ships a player gices you a handfull to to when you are a novice.
Have Fun.
