Could of swore I read and replied to a thread earlier this morning from someone named "Laboefe?" or something like that. He was having problems REcasting some old minis for his own use that he claimed were out of print and almost impossible to find. I sort of replied regarding his "flow" problem and then called him on recasting someone else's minis. Then, when I woke up and went back to reread the post and hit the complain button the whole thread was gone. Am I having an Alzenheimer's moment and dreaming it or did Bill already delete it on the sly and is trying to "gaslight" me into thinking I'm going crazy? LOL, regardless. it's working. |

Nope, I saw it as well. Didn't comment on it myself, as I don't need to stand that close to a bonfire today ;) |

Recasting is not an allowed topic on TMP, so that topic was nuked. |

Might have been good to leave it. How many civilizations have left decomposing bodies as a warning? |

As I recall, the bodies were sometimes tarred too. |

The phrase "gaslight" is the one that interests me. My ex used to use it ad infinitum, and I somehow knew I was in trouble from the implied threat which srose from the tone in which it was used. Never really understood what it meant, though. Great to see it is still alive and well (shudder). |

How many civilizations have left decomposing bodies as a warning? Intentionally? Not many I think he was a bit taken aback by the severity of the reaction, and possibly understood that his defences were flawed, but I could be mistaken. Unfortunately I'm not convinced he thought he was wrong and I suspect he is now trying to rectify the problem himself. |

I recall hearing the term in high school psychology class. I didn't really know what gaslights were at the time but the concept stuck me as quite insidious. |

Thanks Geoff. I think I would rather not have known the definition, as this will now force some rather deep introspection upon my part. Having said that, I have never intentionally confused anyone apart from myself, and as far as kitchen appliances go am willing to accept most recommendations. |
