and boy, are they UGH-LY!!!! (and I mean that with all the true *SLISHINESS* of a Pseudopodian Fan-tentacle!!! 8-)

So NATURALLY or UN-naturally…I LOVE THEM!!!!!

Whether or not the board game turns out to be as cool as it's looking so far, I KNOW I'll be collecting the gaming pieces…for several of the 'factions' for lotsa other 'uses'…(mandatory 'BWAH-hah-HAA!' inserted here!)

and it looks like it's going to get even BETTER…(Martians/Aliens are one of the 'factions' yet to come too!!! *SLISH!!! 8-)

All sorts of big, stompy robots, terasaurs, tentacles and aliens rampaging across cities, demolishing skyscrapers, malls and whole continents??? What more could you want?

'You sank my batt--erm…my fleet…erm…my CITY…erm…MY PLANET!!!!!! Waaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!'

Ya gotta LOVE a game of wanton, mindless mayhem, destruction and megaviolence with no holds barred and destitute pieces of concrete, melted steel and charred flesh littering the blighted landscape!!! (hmmm…sounds like the last time I tried to mow the yard….*SLISH!)

Anyway…I'm sure there will be more 'monstrosity-goodness' coming up for our drooling…(well, I drool most of the time anyway..it's my nature….)…enjoyment and for those who go to Comicon San Diego…Issue 0 of the comic will be 'free'…(lucky sods! wish I could go!!!) and then a FREE figure at GENCON!!! (aaaarggh!) and yes, even a 'special figure' for collecting the coupons from the three comic book mini-series this fall!!! (already pre-ordered THAT!!!) and am eagerly awaiting 'word' on how they're selling 'boosters'/starter's set and that sorta THINGS…

The Lords of Cthul will be joining my forces very soon. Oh yes, they will be. I can't wait for these bad boys to hit the shelves. I'm already thinking of how to use these little beauties in several different games.

That one guy looks like he's vomiting the tentacles out of his, um, mouth-orifice. I really like the artist's concept but I don't think the miniatures actually captured that.

Slightly disappointed -- I'm always looking out for good Cthulhu stuff.

After looking at that picture it reminds me of an alien called the Ood(not sure about spelling) from the new Doctor Who series.

These creatures have tentacles around their mouth orifice or it could be their mouth,but i'm not sure.

:groan: I love tentacled gribblies and Cthulhu as much as the next guy, but thats not what we needed in a game based around giant rampaging monsters. Can anyone give Cthulhu a break? He's tired after several decades worth of bad write-ins into various stories and all sorts of abuses of his background and image….

I loved the 'Ood' in Dr Who…especially when they 'converted' the one human into an 'ood' and he ripped his head open, spouted tentacles like living spagetti outta his mouth and spat out his 'hindbrain' into his hand! Gotta love the chaps that came up with THAT!! but 'Lords of Cthul' are just one of SIX? factions…so you can NOT play tentacles…if you don't want. Or, if not 'tentacle-lish' enough…well, a little bit of craftwork/expoxy can *SLISH that easily!!! Take it from me…I 'modify' THINGS like that all the time!!!
