A little out of period but I have acquired the Postage Stamp B26 model and want to re-paint this as in service in Indo China with the French in 1953. Anyone know what colours they would have been painted? Thanks Alan |

Just make sure you have the right model. In 1947, the brnad spanking new US Air Force, having retired the B-26 Marauder, decided to simplify their designation system, eliminating the now useless 'A for Attack' class (since they would never have to waste their time supporting the ground-pounders again). this resulted in the A-26 Invader being redesignated B-26. The latter is the aircraft the French used in SE Asia, though they had used Marauders during WW2. |

Thanks for all this information. Yes the model is correct for the period. Regards Alan |
