Does anybody make these preferably in plastic?

IIRC Eagle Games makes some.

Thanks,

John

Would it be doable to convert one eg. from a Celtic cavalryman?

Shave of the saddle and harness from horse, cut off the head from the horse, cut rider into half from the waist, pin and glue the upper half of the rider to the horse.

Harder then you think to convert them – I've tried. Best results were from some native American figures.

I've done this successfully combining the upper torsos from Italieri's Gaul Warriors set (6022), which has lots of bare-chested figures with swords or javelins, with the horse bodies from HaT's Numidian Cavalry set (8024), whose horses have no saddles. I used a two-part epoxy (SuperPoxy) and pinning to attach them together. A bit of careful shaping with the exacto knife to the horses "neck" to fit the man's torso goes a long way to making the join convincing.

By the way, if you're looking to use them with other 1/72 figures, the Eagle Games plastics are too small. They are dwarfed by 1/72 horses, being more like large 15mm in size.

And just what is wrong with having My Little Pony Centaurs?

Here is a link to a pic. Eagle games has their Norse and Greek sets with swapped pics. So, you need to look at the Norse set to see the Greek pics and vice versa.

Update, I went back and looked at my sprues. They are probably closer to 15/18mm so unsuitable and you only get 2 per set. they are 3 dollars per sprue so cheap and the figs ARE cool, but likely won't work for you.

Sorry,

John

Try e-Bay for Mage Knight Centaurs. They are close to true 25mm size, but they may work for you. Cheers!

Thank's all I'm leaning towards doing some conversions now.

They are not plastic but the Eureka centaurs are very nice in in scale I think.
