I have a "Edo harbor/Tokyo" table, but I am now working on Monster Island proper. I'm think a tropical forest, large river, the United Nations Alert Force HQ, and the shield generator/power plant. And lots of mountain/hills, and thanks to Warren, lava filled craters. What have y'all built/appropriated? |

Though I don't play Kaiju games, it sounds like a cool subject. Smokeyroan, do you have pics of your harbor table? Chris |

Mine is just a bucket of large megabloks and some felt pieces. I sometimes use micro machines for things to throw around but, that's about it. |

For myself I only have some Geo Hex but no buildings and not much in regards to the military, although i do have 2 Mazer Tanks. But what i do have is lots of Monsters from Godzilla and Gamera related to Ultraman Monsters and Johnny Sokko Monsters as well,i have over 120 Monsters plus Robots as well. But getting stats for the Ultraman Monsters let alone the Monsters from Johnny Sokko series might prove very hard indeed. My goal is to run a huge GMR game using most of my High Grade/Gashapon figures, but this'll take time. Captain Gideon |

I have some mountains/hills made from boxes, which I don't have any pictures of, and a couple of small volcanoes. One featured here: link Otherwise I use stones for boulders and felt pieces for rough going, water or quicksand. When I use buildings I make them out of Lego. |

Here are some shots of my Big trouble in little tokyo game. Not the best photos but I'm running it again at our local con in October and I'll take some more. picture picture picture picture picture picture picture picture All my buildings are simply wood blocks or groups of wood blocks. I bought a custom template from Litko Aero that I plan to use to add windows to all the buildings before this years run. |

I posted my table back in March. Just a little place we call Greater Boston -- the whole Rte 128 loop around the city. WIP pictures at the top of the thread -- the full setup down a few posts. Work is still continuing

So, since this is kind of related, what scale buildings do you use with what scale kaiju? I've only played Monster Island with the big 12"+ action figures. & the table was actually Monster Island with plastic trees & rocks. Still loads of fun. So what scale city buildings would go with that size monsters? From my initial online research though, the big figures would be prohibitively expensive for me. So, thinking about the smaller 3" kind, what scale buildings would work for those? Thanks |

Oh, didn't actually answer the initial question. I don't have any specific Kaiju terrain yet, but I've recently realized that I have a pack of GW plastic palm trees, plus all these items: link (28mm figure shown for comparison) So, this definately looks like the beginnings of a good Monster Island. |

Smokey, My first table is made up of a collection of miniature souvenir buildings from every airport gift shop you can think of and the same paper buildings that you use. I also have the statue of liberty which sits in the harbor. I also have a "scorched earth" 4'X4' table with all the refinery pieces from Armorcast including the necular power plant. Either one of these tables can be extended with my waterfront gaming matt. I will post pics soon. |
