The recent thread on War of the Worlds has got my creative juices following.

I have loads of 1/600 ACW ironclads including forts and horse artillery that I rarely game with these days.

Does anyone make tripods that would work with that scale or would I have to scratch build some?

Depends how big you think a 1/600 tripod should be – try Ground Zero Games.

Check out Landironclads, the minies by Brigade Models are very nice and include Martian Tripods and more.

OK. The GZG games tripods are codes V6-01 and 02, and stand 50mm and 90mm high. I can never find them on the site, either.

Thanks for the suggestions guys, I hadn't seen either of those before.

The Ground Zero one's are probably a tad too big and the Brigade ones a tad too small (you just can't please some people!)

I'll probably try the scratch build route, shouldn't be that hard at that scale.

The Brigade site did inspire me to build some crashed cylinders out of marker pens though!
