Interesting :] Why did we have the big debate about the PEL? |

Wow! Looking over the PEL, it seems like there are more 'Theme' games this year than in the past. Is this time period growing in popularity? My club, Refuse the Flank Wargamers, is running several French and Indian War games throughout the weekend (entitled Drawing Blood on the Frontier). We're doing 5 different scenarios, and for those of you have played with us in the past, we've got a bigger table and more troops. And as always- fast and bloody! So sign up or stop by and check us out. |

Will a version of the PEL that is searchable by era be available – so if I want to look at all the ACW game choices I can? |

I got a PEL in the mail last week. |

"Why did we have the big debate about the PEL?" a) To take our minds off the endless, boring dribble that make up the Presidential primaries b) To detract us from the rising cost of petrol c) Something to take our frustration out on while we waited the release of plastic historicals d) Because we can e) All the above |

sma1941 "Will a version of the PEL that is searchable by era be available – " There is no plan for a version with built in search and filter capability. However, you can search the PDF for period, GM, rules or whatever ou want. Duncan Adams HISTORICON 2008 Events Manager |

RudyNelson "I got a PEL in the mail last week." You received a promotional brochure in the mail. It contains a list of only the games that were submitted in time to get it printed and mailed. The online PEL has about 4 times as many games.

Duncan- How do GM's pre-reg for games? In the past we used to just email it in without going through paypal. I didn't see anything on the site about this. |

gert1746 "How do GM's pre-reg for games? In the past we used to just email it in without going through paypal. I didn't see anything on the site about this." The name of every primary* GM who has at least one game listed in the PEL was entered into the preregistration database. I did it myself before turning it over to the registrar. If all you need is a badge, just pick it up in the prereg line at the show. If you want flea market tables, t-shirts, etc register online, pay for the items by PayPal and check the last line in the admission type labled: "Select if you already have a badge and want merchandise, game signup or sign up family members." If you only want to add game registration send an email to Neil Brennan at registrar@historicon.org. Duncan Adams HISTORICON 2008 Events Manager * Free admission is ONLY for those listed as a primary GM. Those listed as assistant GMs do not get free admission. |
