Following up from my earlier post, TMP link

I have been slowly plugging away on the team. I have also been working on the servitor, automation side of things.

Here is the center piece of that group. A recovered abandoned Tau prototype for a support robot.

and
With a few more of the team.

It was an urban war figure – from the game box. I added a Tau burst cannon, and a chopped down Fire warrior helmet.

It was a simple conversation but I hope a effective one.

In addition to my 2 standard servitors. A Adept on a budget might be inclined to get some cheap help in the form of a few pitslaves. These are a mix of necromunda pitslaves and OOP nid hybrids.

I have added rare earth magnets to the figures and the weapons to be able to interchange them. I have also converted up a drum-fed heavy bolter that needs to have the magnet added. I will be working on an assortment of other weapons for them to carry.

And finally here is a group shot showing the full group.

Thanks for looking.

Nice work..

While I love the execution of the conversion on the "taubot", in that paint scheme he looks far more Tau the Mechanicus. Maybe try red instead tan?

Just my opinion of course. :)

I rather like that Tau conversion. I might have to see if I can't find a couple of those Syntha Pointmen MKII at a decent price.

Wildwolf,

It's suppose to be tau colored :)

My Mechanicus has been roaming Tau country for a bit and has not had a chance to paint it up properly. If you look, the IG, have worn thru their standard issue boots and have taken to buying Gue'vesa extras.

It could also be an especially motivated or skilled Kroot as the legs look very Kroot-like. He was so good that the tau rewarded him with a suit.

Alternately he was badly damaged in a fight and the Tau liked him so much they repaired him.

Or mechanicus. I just like the good guys. :)

Either way it looks cool. Good job.

Nice work. I like your robot.

Nice conversion – perhaps something for the Apocalypse players to convert for TTG purposes – a unit of Tau Pointmen as opposed to stealth suits.

mweaver12 May 2008 3:24 p.m. PST

Cool. Especially the monkey, of course.

Wow…I really like that Tau conversion. It looks so right. grin
