My younger brother has a large collection of those diecast 1:18th scale cars. Are there any modern looking figures I could use for a display base? I think 1:18th is about 100mm high for a 6'man. I could attempt mild conversion work, if I have to… :)

This will probably fit the bill

1:18th scale is also 3 3/4" scale which fits with a number of smaller action figures. Think GI Joe 3 3/4" line (like their 1980s-era toy line).

Blue Box Inc also has some 1:18th scale modern American military vehicles and figures.

And then there's all those Star Wars figures that fit into the same scale.

I looked at this some time ago when considering "Garden Wargaming."
